At school this year, I have the privilege or curse, depending on how you look at it to come up with a design for the Lexus Fashion Show that is in March. The Theme of the show is Motion, Camera, Action and to substantiate that we have to base the design on either a superhero or super powers we would like. My design is based on Thor and my super power are the four seasons. Here’s the rub. The entire design must be compostable. That means that once the design has served its purpose, like walking down a runway with your muse, the design comes off and goes into a large compost. This has proven to be most challenging. Recyclable items and composting items are not the same. The picture shows a mini me or 1/2 scale of the foundation piece. It is made from Paper Mache. Once the design fits your muse, then you start decorating and designing. Stay tuned for part 2 as you will see the final product that is full size.
